How it all started
Hello there, I’m Nicole, a creator of Nicole Ven Videos, entrepreneur and storyteller with 15+ years of experience in the video, content and online business world.
When I started freelancing in videography, I didn’t even own a camera. I used to rent one at 6 am and run straight to client projects, which is slightly unhinged, but also explains my entire personality. I didn’t wait for perfect equipment, perfect timing, or perfect confidence. I just started and figured things out while running around with rented gear and a deadline breathing down my neck.
Since then, I’ve built a strong client base, worked with people for years, survived the pandemic as a videographer while all my projects got cancelled in 7 days, and kept adjusting every time the industry changed. Which, in this line of work, is basically every five minutes.
I work everywhere and remotely
Over the years, I’ve lived and worked in Denmark and London, UK, created videos, worked remotely, built projects, written blogs, shared tutorials on YouTube, created digital products, and started writing books.
My work has never been just about filming and editing. It has always been about ideas, storytelling, problem-solving, communication, and finding a way to make things work even when the plan falls apart. That is why I got into training/teaching small business and Fortune 500 Global companies on how to film, edit, produce videos, podcasts – anything to do with content creation and social media. I’ve trained 1,000+ attendees of my courses.
I share what I know because I believe useful knowledge should be practical, honest and easy to understand. I’ve learned a lot through experience, mistakes, client work, experiments, late nights, weird projects and the occasional “why did I think this was a good idea” moment.
My hobby turned me into an influencer
Outside of work, my big obsession is hockey. I also have a “secret” hockey Tiktok and IG account that somehow turned into its own little universe. Locally, people recognise me and ask for photos, yes it’s mostly kids lol. I’ve also managed to annoy what felt like the entire country of Canada during the Olympics with my sarcastic, edgy hockey analysis and ragebaits. Not everyone appreciated the joke, but honestly, you can’t win them all. Thanks for 10 million views though!
This website is part portfolio, part blog, part knowledge hub and part evidence that I cannot sit still for five minutes. It’s where I share what I’ve learned from years of building things from zero, working with clients, creating content, adapting to change, and turning ideas into real projects.
